Empowering Diverse Journeys in Healing, Family Building & Mental Health
Every individual carries a unique story, and I am interested in learning about yours. You might be feeling adrift because life hasn’t gone the way you envisioned. Yet, it’s often in these moments of struggle that we discover our hidden strengths and resilience. You may not see it yet, but I am here to hold a nurturing and compassionate space for you until you can.
Therapy is a journey that honors our collective and individual stories. It is within this journey that we uncover the endless solutions within us.
We may face challenges, but I believe deeply in our inherent ability to heal and grow, drawing strength from wisdom and experiences passed down from generations.
I view therapy as a sacred space, not just for gaining therapeutic insight but for exploring the rich tapestry of our ancestral, historical, and spiritual legacies that affirm our tenacity.
Our experiences in our families and larger communities influence us in profound ways. When you don’t feel fully seen for who you are, you can feel othered, isolated, and distressed.
Our culture, community, and personal experiences define many things about us—how we see the world, how we seek help, and how we cope.
While we may experience problems and distress, I believe we also carry an innate drive for growth and healing.
I help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and cope with a range of experiences like anxiety, depression, or grief that arise when the reality of life fails to align with your hopes or expectations. As an EMDR-certified therapist, I can also support your healing through particularly tense moments and memories that have been traumatic.
I support individuals and couples facing reproductive challenges or navigating reproductive decisions, including donor conception; grief counseling for pregnancy loss, abortion, and termination for medical reasons; individuals who identify as childless-not-by-choice; couples considering ending their family-building efforts; and individuals experiencing perinatal and postpartum mood issues.
For those considering using sperm, egg, or embryo donation to build your family, this consultation will serve as a starting point to process and think through the nuances associated with donor conception according to the guidelines outlined by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Healing is not a destination but a unique journey—a journey toward acceptance of self and others that requires grace, compassion, and understanding. Partnering with the right therapist who understands the complex interaction of culture, history, and personal experiences is a key aspect of the healing process and can make the difference between staying stuck or being able to move forward. My purpose is to collaborate with you on your journey and help you thrive. My clients tend to seek me out when they need a safe, soft place to land.

I Can Help You:
My practice is fee-for-service. I am not in-network with any insurance company and do not bill insurance directly. However, I will supply you with a SuperBill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You should verify your coverage before scheduling an appointment.
We will meet virtually through a HIPAA-compliant Zoom meeting which will afford you the flexibility and freedom to meet at a location of your convenience. Sessions are usually 50 minutes. Some people choose to see me on a weekly basis, while others schedule biweekly. Healing happens on a short-term and long-term basis, and I am open to whatever works for you. My job is to help you monitor your progress along the way to ensure that our process meets your needs regardless of what format you choose.
Starting therapy or counseling is a big deal, which is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
My therapeutic and reproductive counseling lens is grounded in reproductive justice. I advocate for reproductive freedom and the right to autonomy over decisions regarding one's body. This includes not just the right to be a parent but the right to parent in ways that align with one's personal values, or not to be a parent at all. I honor the need and desire to do this in a safe, healthy community, acknowledging that such opportunities are not afforded to everyone equally.
